Elliott Boots Joins REDS!

Posted by Matt Box on

Elliott Boots today announced his 2014 engine package would be by none other than Italian factory ‘REDS Racing’.

The news comes after a bit of a shock departure announcement from Novarossi which took many an industry insider by surprise, the move from one Italian engine company to another not a common one but no doubt a major coup for the Mario Rossi-led REDS outfit over fierce rivals Novarossi.

Fans don’t have long to wait to see Boots’ new 2014 package on track as he heads to Padova in Italy for the Italian Job race as well as some pre-event practice – getting to grips with the new powerplant and keeping up with the Italian youngsters round that track.

Elliott expressed his thanks and gratitude towards Marco & Mario Rossi for bringing him onboard and relishing the opportunity to further put the engine brand on the map.

Rewinding 12 months you may remember fellow Kyosho driver Cody King joining REDS, a move which revitalised the former Californian World Champion, storming to a celebrated Dash4Cash win at Neo13.

New REDS team mate Boots will be looking to build on his late season momentum from 2013 and with a 2014 being a Worlds year, focus is firmly on the class he excels in; 1/8 buggy, another driver who recently switched to REDS is JQ founder Joseph Quagraine, after a steady start, the Finn started to find his feet as well as a bit of extra fuel mileage, could this be an area which Boots will be looking to improve upon in the lead up to the 2014 season?
