Posted by Jules exall on

This last weekend saw the BRCA Junior 1/10th finals at Bury, and our Jnr’s were representing, Felix De Hamel n U16 running his Schumacher cars and Tommy Hall and Jamie Hall in U13 representing Team XRAY. In 2wd on Saturday Felix qualified 3rd, Jamie qualified 5th and Tommy qualified 6th. Amazing qualifying for the boys – despite a tricky and wet track! Finals were even better Felix finished 4th, Jamie finished 6th, Tommy finished 5th. A brilliant day in 2wd for the RCPB lads!

Sunday was 4wd and another awesome day for the team, Felix once again qualified 3rd, Jamie qualified 4th and then Tommy qualified 5th. Once again all in the top 5 in their section! The boys were stunning in the finals, showing real class, Felix finished 4th, Jamie 5th and one of the best drives of the day went to young Tommy who finished on the podium in 2nd

A fantastic end to the 1/10th outdoor season for all of the young guns in the team, well done for some great achievements, and thanks to 1/10th Team Boss Chris Ely for his support during the season. All of the guys are pictured below with Chris.

At Clanfelds in the SRS we had Ashley Evans and his Mugen MBX7R Eco running in the electric class. Ashley continued his fine form, taking TQ in 2 of the 3 rounds and the overall pole for the finals. He went on to win in style. He is pictured below on the podium! A good result in the series!

At Ledbury we had Simon and Simeon White with their Mugen MBX7r’s, Andy Prosser and his Bullett Powered Sworkz evo II, Nathan Powney and his Bullett powered Losi 4.0 and Simon Davies and his Radiosistemi RR8. All of the guys had a good day at the ever popular track.

Nathan took an impressive TQ, being the only driver getting in the 9 laps, brilliant with his new car/engine combo. Simon W was hot on his tail, back in form taking a brilliant 2nd on the grid. Si Davies had a cracking days racing coming in 6th and straight into the A final as well. Simeon and Andy were once again very close, Simeon got 21st with his Ielasi Tuned powered mugen just ahead of Andy in 23rd

In the C final it was a great battle between Simeon and Andy, Jnr Simeon finally crossing the line just ahead of Andy and getting the bump to the B. Simeon had another good start in the B final, he had a fantastic drive and finished 9th. Great day for the young man!

In the A final we had Nath, Si W and Si D. Simon D found some great consistent pace and took a very good 9th in the tough field. Si White had a great battle at the front end of the field, he and his fine looking Mugen went on to take a very impressive 2nd. Nathan was on a role, his new Losi now fully bedded in and it looked awesome. He turned his TQ into a brilliant win, getting the lap on the rest of the field banging in some hugely impressive lap times. A great win by Nath and a double podium for RCPB.
